HYDERABAD: Second Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore S Eswaran along with his team will submit blueprint of the seed capital city of Andhra Pradesh, which is the third and final phase of the master plan, to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Rajahmundry on Monday.

The Singapore-based consultants have already presented a capital region development plan and followed it up with a master plan for capital city. They will now present the seed (core) capital plan.

The “seed capital” will comprise administrative buildings such as Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister’s office, Assembly building, secretariat, High Court and residential quarters of ministers and officials. The layout details in the plan to be submitted would provide broad area and contours of the land required.

The State government is planning to begin construction works of the new capital on October 22 by holding a grand ceremony for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Premiers of Japan and Singapore are expected have been invited.

The 7,325 sq km Capital Region Plan is the first of the three-stage master plan. The other two stages are - capital city master plan covering 125 sq km and a detailed seed development master plan of about 8 sq km-long-stretch on the banks of the Krishna river.  The seed capital will have four modes of transport and skyscrapers designed by a Singapore engineering unit.  The buildings, designed with facilities intended for 60 lakh population in the city, gives utmost priority to environment.

The State government through the Capital Area Region Development Authority has taken up the process of pooling about 33,000 acres from farmers in Guntur district.
