VIJAYAWADA:Notification for counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2015-16 in Telangana was issued on Tuesday. The first phase of the counselling will commence on July 29 and will continue till July 31.
In the first phase, counselling will be held for all candidates for open category seats for ranks between 1 and 6,000. On the first day in two sessions, counselling will be done for the first 1,000 ranks and in the subsequent two days, the remaining ranks will be counselled.
In the second and third phase, re-allotment of college to the reserved category candidates (BC, SC, STs selected under OC as per GO Ms No 55o and seats reserved for BCs, SCs and STs will be held from August 1 to 3 (from rank 1 to 16,000).
Verification of certificates under sports and games, Children of Army Personnel, NCC, Physically Challenged and Police Martyrs Children (special categories) will be held from August 4 to 6 at JNTUH counselling centre only.
In all, there are four counselling centres - JNTUH Counselling Centre in Hyderabad, PGRR Distance Education Counselling centre in Hyderabad, Kakatiya University Counselling centre in Warangal and NTRUHS in Vijayawada.
NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijaywada, is conducting the counselling for admissions to MBBS and BDS in Telangana state for those who qualified in EAMCET conducted by the Telangana government. The notification has been published in the university website www.ntruhs.ap.nic.in.
