HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad High Court has directed AP public prosecutor to get instructions from the authorities concerned on a bail plea by former Congress MP GV Harsha Kumar, currently under 14 days judicial remand.

On July 11, Harsha Kumar went on a fast demanding that the state government address the long-pending Christian burial sites issue in Rajahmundry. When the police arrived at the fasting camp to shift him to a hospital, the former MP threatened to commit suicide .

Harsha Kumar moved the high court seeking grant of bail in the case registered by the Rajahmundry police.

When the bail petition came up for hearing, Justice Raja Elango asked the public prosecutor to get instructions on the plea and posted the matter to July 28.
