TIRUPATI: The TTD has made wearing of helmets compulsory for two-wheeler riders on the ghat roads of Tirumala. The decision has come into effect immediately. “Thousands of people from the temple town and other places travel by two-wheelers to Tirumala for darshan of the Lord.
Accidents are taking place frequently at the bends on the ghat road which is not suitable for bike-riding. Therefore, the TTD has made wearing of helmets compulsory,” vigilance official G Srinivas said here on Wednesday.
