TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to fill the vacant posts of priests in its temples at Tirumala, Tiruchanoor and elsewhere in the temple town and also the TTD-allied temples, according to TTD sources.
Disclosing this to Express here on Thursday, they added that TTD EO D Sambasiva Rao had advised the TTD deputy EO (Temples) to immediately prepare a comprehensive report detailing the actual requirement.
The sources said that the vacancies could be filled up in as early as a week or two.
They added that the TTD would go for regular recruitment of priests as per the basic sanctioned strength and recruit the rest on an ad hoc (contract) basis as was being done in the case of ‘Potu’ workers.
