VIJAYAWADA: An audit will be done by a committee on the use of vehicles meant for garbage removal as well as for other purposes. The committee, which will be headed by a trainee collector, would submit a report on how effectively the vehicles are being used.
Municipal commissioner G Veerapandian wanted the committee to study how the vehicles are being used and maintained. The orders came after his surprise inspection of the vehicle depot at Poornanandampet. He found less number of drivers than vehicles.
