VISAKHAPATNAM: The Andhra University will hold a two day mega job fair in association with Millennium Software Solutions at YVS Murthy Auditorium in Andhra University College of Engineering on Saturday and Sunday. In all, 14 companies will participate in the off-campus placement drive providing an employment opportunity to hundreds of students. According to university registrar V Uma Maheswara Rao, more than 12,000 students have enrolled their names for the job fair till Friday evening.
Candidates who have completed their BTech, MTech, MCA, MSc (computers), and MBA courses between 2013 and 2015, are eligible to appear for the job fair. AU vice-chancellor GSN Raju and registrar V Uma Maheswara Rao along with AP Skill Development Corporation director K Lakshminarayana will participate in the inaugural session, while HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao will present the offer letters to the selected candidates on Saturday evening.
IT companies like Miracle Software Systems, IIC Technologies, Yalamanchali Software Exports, Eccentric Solutions, Cyient, Sankhya Technologies, Excel Global Solutions, Phoenix Infotech, IVY Infotech and Micro Genesis would recruit around 700-800 students in the two-day event. The AU authorities have allotted separate venues inside the engineering college campus for each company to conduct their recruitment.
Candidates should attend the job fair along with their resume, qualification certificates and passport size photographs. There is no participate fee. The minimum salary offered is expected to be around `10,000 depending on the candidate’s talent. For more details, contact 9247861222 or 9295056222.
