CHITTOOR: T Umadevi, principal of the AP Social Welfare Residential School and College (APSWRSC), Burakayalakota in B Kothakota mandal, was placed under suspension on charges of dereliction of duty.
The decision was taken after an inquiry into the charges made by Thamballapalli MLA B Sankar Yadav against the the principal.
Later, APSWRC secretary G Shoba directed district convener of APSWRSC M Swarna Kumari to submit a report on the charges. Based on her report, the principal was suspended.
