VISAKHAPATNAM: In yet another cheating case, a home guard duped unemployed youths of lakhs of rupees by promising them home guard jobs in the city. The incident came to light when around 10 victims lodged a complaint with the II-Town police Monday night. However, the home guard is at large.
K Ramesh, a home guard in the One-Town traffic department, collected `1-2 lakh each from unemployed youngsters promising to arrange home guard jobs.
The police registered a case and are investigating. A manhunt has been launched for the accused.
