GUNTUR: Not just the two-wheeler riders but the pillion riders too should wear helmet from March 16, according to a press release by transport department here on Thursday. The department has already advised the companies which sell two-wheelers to sell helmets also to the customers along with the vehicles.
If two-wheeler rider or a pillion rider is found to be not wearing helmets from March 16, fine would be collected from them in accordance with the rules in force.
Apart from wearing helmets, triple riding will not be allowed. No driver is allowed to drive vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Those who drive vehicles should have valid driving licences and they should not speak on cellphones while driving, the transport department said
