248 Register to Develop Smart Villages, Wards

VIJAYAWADA: “In Krishna district, about 248 people have registered for voluntary participation in developing smart villages and smart wards in the district,” said district collector Babu A.

Speaking at a video conference at collector camp office here on Friday, principle secretary IYR Krishna Rao said that most of the people in West Godavari and Krishna districts are showing interest in developing smart village and smart wards and to achieve this, officials should focus on constructing the individual latrines in the villages with `15,000 sanctioned by the government for each house.
