Land Identified for Locating NIMZ

ONGOLE: The Prakasam district administration has begun the process of getting necessary approvals from the state government for location of National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in the district.

Collector GSRKR Vijaya Kumar on Friday asked officials to do the follow-up work with Hyderabad in this regard. The administration has already identified 15,000 acres for locating the NIMZ.

Similarly for location of food parks, an extent of 137 acres had been identified in Gundlapalem in Gudluru mandal. The collector wanted details of the land sent to the government. Likewise, 26 acres has been identified for Industrial City at Doakonda, the collector said.

He said that Central Industries of Tool Design sub-centre has been sanctioned for Ongole.
