VISAKHAPATNAM: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, was bestowed with the prestigious ‘Corporate Vigilance Excellence Award’ for promoting transparency in its procedures and creating awareness in combating corruption in the organisation.
As the chief guest, RINL CMD P Madhusudan gave away the vigilance awards at the Conclave of Vigilance Officers, organised by the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad. RINL chief vigilance officer B Siddhartha Kumar received the award. The RINL has bagged the corporate award for the second time in a row. Four vigilance officers from the RINL also received the Individual Vigilance Excellence Award for 2014-15.
On the occasion, Madhusudan exhorted all public sector officers to promote transparency, ethics and integrity which are the pillars for supporting excellence in any organisation.
Siddhartha Kumar said that several initiatives had been taken by the vigilance department to create an ambience of transparent work culture and for bringing vigilance awareness across the organisations.
