2 Held for Duping Jobless Youths, Rs 25 Lakh Seized

KADAPA:The police arrested two people for allegedly cheating unemployed youths by promising them jobs near Pulivendula Ring Road on Sunday and also recovered Rs 25 lakh in cash including some documents and certificates from them.

Disclosing the details to newsmen, Pulivendula ASP Anburajan said that Egnezar of Pulivendula and Suresh of Kadapa town collected lakhs of rupees and certificates from gullible people by assuring them of jobs.

When the accused failed to fulfil their promise, some of the victims approached the police.  While as many as 30 cases were lodged in the district against the duo, the first case was registered four months ago. Immediately, the cops formed a special team to nab the miscreants and took them into custody near Pulivendula Ring Road on Sunday.
