RTC to Operate 140 Spls for Ugadi

VIJAYAWADA:On the occasion of Ugadi, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC)is gearing up to facilitate the passengers by operating more than 140 special buses from various destinations like Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai to Vijayawada.

According to APSRTC officials, more than two lakh people are likely to travel to various destinations passing through Vijayawada during the festival. APSRTC is operating more than 70 buses from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, and depending on the demand, more specials services will be launched to clear heavy rush. 

“We are expecting more passengers to travel   from Bangalore, Chennai and Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad to Vijayawada. Hence, we are operating 10 additional buses from these three cities,” said APSRTC regional manager G Sudesh Kumar.
