GUNTUR: A seven-month-old boy, K Solomon Raju, was abducted by a 50-year-old woman at Government General Hospital here on Monday.
According to the Kothapet SI Ch Rambabu on Monday, a well built fair complexioned woman took the boy away from his mother promising to take care of him while she is away in the hospital for a regular check up.
Solomon Raju’s mother Kollamgunta Dhana Lakshmi (25), a resident of Chaakalikunta, works as a daily wage labourer along with her husband K Velu at a cotton mill.
When she came out of the out-patient ward after her medical check up, she could neither find the woman nor her son.
She lodged a complaint with Kothapet police who took up the investigation.
