HPCL Presents Rs 1-cr Cheque to KGH

VISAKHAPATNAM: As a part of its CSR activity, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Visakh Refinery (HPCL-VR) presented the first installment of `1 crore Wednesday for construction of a multi-storied building at ENT block on the premises of the King George Hospital.

With contribution by several PSUs, the KGH management has taken up the mega project, estimated to cost `80 crore.

HPCL-VR took the initiative to share the financial burden for the project. Accordingly, an MoU was signed by the HPCL-VR and the KGH. According to the MoU, the HPCL has decided to contribute `5 crore in five years.

HPCL-VR general manager (HR) ASV Ramanan handed over the first instalment of `1 crore in the form of cheque to KGH superintendent M Madhusudana Babu at a function held at the KGH.

Chief manager (HR) MJ Satya Rao, senior manager (PR) of HPCL-VR US Sarma, KGH deputy superintendents PV Sudhakar and K Satyavara Prasad and other senior officials were present.
