14 Flying Squads for SSC Exams in Krishna

VIJAYAWADA: The first day of SSC exams in the district passed off smoothly without any incidents of malpractice reported.

Necessary arrangements were in place at 286 centres in the district and on the first day 58,265 students wrote the exam. That is 99 per cent of attendance for the exam was registered on the first day. For various reasons, 638 students failed to attend the exam on the first day.

The district collector and other officials made a surprise inspection of the test centres and took stock of the situation. Interacting with officials during his visit to a test centre in Vijayawada, collector Babu A said 14 flying squads have been deployed to ensure no malpractice happen during the exam.

He asked the officials not to allow cell phones, calculators and other electronic devices. Officials were also asked to ensure that students do not attend the exam in their school uniforms. The officials were advised to keep  medicines including ORS packet.
