VISAKHAPATNAM : An employee of Divis Laboratories committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his flat in Subham Apartments near Chitivalasa under Bheemili police station limits Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Ch Venkata Ramana (30), a native of Undrajapeta village of West Godavari district and resident of Chittivalasa area.
According to police reports, Venkata Ramana lived in the flat alone and his parents live in West Godavari district. He was a bachelor and had some health problems. According to the statement of his colleagues, he took the extreme step because of his health issues. However, sources said that Venkata Ramana was depressed and therefore committed suicide. Police registered a suicide case. Investigation is on.
