TIRUPATI: The three-day annual ‘Vasanthotsavams’ commenced in the famous temple of Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanur on Saturday. Temple priests performed ‘Snanapa Tirumanjanam’ (Celestial Bath) to the processional deity of Goddess Padmavathi at Friday Gardens between 3 and 4.30 pm.

‘Vasanthotsavams’ are performed to give a soothing relief to the deity from heat sun in an aesthetic environment giving celestial aromatic bath — Snapana Tirumanjanam. The TTD cancelled ‘arjitha sevas’ like Kalyanotsavam and Unjal Seva in view of ‘Vasanthotsavams’.

Assistant EO Nagarathna, temple staff and devotees took part.
