HYDERABAD:The government is all set to auction 3,500 metric tonnes of red sanders through global e-tender-cum e-auction. It has earned Rs 991 crore through the sale of 2,694 metric tonnes in the first phase.
The government on Wednesday issued orders permitting the forest department to issue notification for the auction of 3,500 metric tonnes of red sanders.
The government got permission from the Centre to sell 8,514 metric tonnes of sanders. According to the GO, MSTC Ltd. has been appointed as the agency for conducting e-auction services and AP Forest Development Corporation Ltd, as the Export Agency for the sale proceeds.
