Over 78K to Appear for ICET on May 16

VISAKHAPATNAM: For admission into MBA and MCA courses for the year 2015-17, Andhra University, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), will conduct ICET 2015 on May 16. The authorities have made all arrangements for the exam which will be attended by about 78,739 candidates. The hall-tickets have been made available for download on the ICET official website which commenced on

May 2.

Reviewing the exam arrangements during the regional coordinators meeting, ICET committee chairman and Andhra University vice-chancellor GSN Raju said that the test would be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm in 136 exam centres at 16 regional centres across Andhra Pradesh. The Vijayawada regional centre has registered the highest number of candidates - 8,885, followed by Guntur with 8,616 applicants. The lowest number, 347 candidates, have applied from Kuppam regional centre. Every exam centre will have an invigilator along with special invigilators.

APSCHE vice-chairman P Vijaya Prakash said that all efforts had been made to ensure that students were not put to any inconvenience and the results would be released as per the schedule. Candidates who could not download their hall-tickets for any reason can approach the regional coordinators at least two days in advance to resolve the issue and get a duplicate hall-ticket. Of the total 78,739 candidates, the highest number of 40,655 are from B.Com discipline followed by 26,050 B.Sc graduates. AU registrar V Uma Maheswara Rao and ICET convener ChV Ramachandra Murthy were present.
