AUCET Results Out in Record Two Days

VISAKHAPATNAM: Girls continued to outshine boys in the results of Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) 2015 and AU Engineering Entrance Test (AUEET) 2015, which were released at the university campus here Saturday. AU vice-chancellor GSN Raju released the results and announced that the counselling for admission into various programmes offered by AU will commence on May 28 and the classes will begin on July 1. In all, 19,600 candidates appeared for AUCET and 2,341 attended AUEET. Setting a record of sorts, the AU released the results in two days after the exam was conducted Thursday.

As per the results, the first rankers in each subject are S Surya Kumari (life sciences), N Mounika (physical sciences), Divisha Jain (mathematical sciences), G Sai Sailaja (chemical sciences), M Karthik Krishna (geology), G Subhadra Rao (humanities and social sciences), Shabnam Syed (English), M Satyarao (Telugu), and Prerna Gupta in the six-year integrated engineering course.

As regards admissions, candidates seeking admission under the Children of Armed Personnel/NCC category should appear for certificate verification at the office of the Andhra University Director of Admissions on May 28, physically challenged on May 29, NSS on May 30. The certificate verification for candidates under the remaining categories will be conducted from June 1 to 4 at the counselling centres in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Kakinada and Vijayawada.

Students should exercise their web options from June 2 to 7 and the first phase of seat allotment will be conducted on June 9 following which students have to remit the fee from June 10 to 12. The second phase of counselling will begin from June 15 with certificate verification till June 17, while the third phase of admissions will be carried out from June 25. Candidates who obtained seats should report for admission on June 30. Spot admissions for the vacant seats will be held on June 29 and 30.
