Autonomous Status for MVGR Again

VIZIANAGARAM: MVGR College has been reaccreditated and got autonomous status again by the  NAAC. A team, comprising experts from national institutions and UGC, visited the MVGR campus to assess its infrastructure, equipment, human resources, teaching-learning, research and industry partnerships. The committee has also interacted with the alumni, students and parents.

The committee reviewed the academic performance and achievements along with the placements and submitted its report to the UGC. The college was considered for conferment of autonomy with effect from 2015-16 to 2020-21 with  ‘A’ grade.

With this, students admitted in 2015-16 will have freedom and flexibility in choosing courses that are contemporary and emerging in nature. The college, being an autonomous institution, can exploit the recently introduced CBCS system by the UGC to its full potential.
