AP to Launch Portal to Track Land Deals

‘Mee Bhoomi’, the proposed website would be more interactive

HYDERABAD:After deciding to launch the ‘Mee Bhoomi’ website where the details of all government and private lands will be available, the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to make the proposed website more interactive one.

The state government wants to design the proposed portal in such a manner that it would allow land-holders to check details of their land records and also inform the government online about any mistakes they find in the records.

The site will be inaugurated by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu soon.

Speaking to reporters after taking part in the joint collectors’ meeting here on Saturday, deputy chief minister KE Krishnamurthy said the land record data of revenue and registration departments are being integrated to update land records.

Once the transaction is registered, automatic transfer proposal for mutation would be carried out at the tahsildar level, he said.

According to Krishnamurthy, in the proposed ‘Mee Bhoomi’ website, there will be a provision to rectify mistakes in land registration information. Land-owners can check their land information at any time. If any issues are observed, they can send the details to the officials concerned directly.

Stating that in the last one year 46,86,712 corrections were made in land records by the revenue department,

the deputy chief minister said the government was planning to hand over the keys of “Mee Bhoomi” website to banks so that they would also have the details of lands.

“This will help banks in knowing the details of lands available with the loan seekers and they can prepare the list of loan beneficiaries,” he said.
