BJP Padayatra to Oppose Project Change

HYDERABAD: After taking up protest in Mahbubnagar against the proposed redesigning and neglect of irrigation projects, the BJP will launch a padayatra in Warangal district on Thursday demanding the government to complete pending irrigation projects on river Godavari.

BJP Telangana state president G Kishan Reddy, MLAs and other senior leaders will participate in the padayatra from Kanthanapalli to Devadula project. BJP leaders led by Kishan Reddy will also stage a dharna at Nallakunta on Wednesday  demanding immediate repair of damaged roads by the GHMC.

Ridiculing the BJP leaders’ yatra, irrigation minister T Harish Rao said Kishan Reddy should take out the yatra in Delhi so as to get more funds for  Telangana.
