VIJAYAWADA: A good samaritan has helped a person get back his Rs 49,000 cash which he lost on MG Road on Aug 21.
According to a press release, one I Veeraswami of Krishnalanka lost his money while travelling on his bike. He kept the money in his back pocket which slipped and fell down without his knowledge.
Later, noticing the loss, he searched for it throughout the day and then lodged a complaint with the police.
Meanwhile, one Ganesh Babu, who works as a technician in a private company, found the money in front of the HDFC bank on MG Road and promptly handed it over to Krishnalanka police station.
The police who had already received a complaint from Veeraswamy, returned the money to him. Deputy Commissioner of Police KLV Ranga Rao handed over “Best Citizen” certificate to Ganesh Babu on Wednesday.
