World Egg Day to be Held in City on Oct 9

VIJAYAWADA: World Egg Day will be celebrated in Vijayawada on October 9 as per the directions of central government. The International Egg Commission has decided to celebrate second Friday of October as ‘World Egg Day’ every year. The Central government has decided to celebrate the same in four places in the country - Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Mumbai and Vijayawada. Higher officials of Animal Husbandry department and central poultry research centre will be meeting in the city on Tuesday to discuss the arrangements.
