VISAKHAPATNAM:On the occasion of the World International Heart Day (September 29), Manipal Hospitals in the city will conduct free heart screening for as many as 10,000 people. The screening will be facilitated simultaneously across all the units of Manipal Hospitals, namely Bangalore, Jaipur, Goa, Salem, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Mangalore. The screening will be organised on September 27 with prior appointments.
With an increasing number of cardiac cases in the country, Manipal Hospitals took a pledge to create awareness and the precautions that need to be taken across several spectrums of health which include gender, age and lifestyle. The occasion will be marked by several awareness activities like distribution of healthy heart package leaflets, and ECG screening, height and weight profiling, free blood pressure check-up camp and ‘Health Talk’ by the Cardiologists and CTVS surgeons.
