VISAKHAPATNAM: In a gruesome incident, a person hacked his wife to death, after a heated argument over money, at Sangivalasa area under Bheemili police station limits on Saturday evening. The deceased has been identified as A Appalaramulu (45), a housewife, while her husband Apparao is absconding.
According to Bheemili inspector TA Naidu, Apparao, used to sit idle at home and harass his wife for money. Appalaramulu took care of the upbringing of their three children. Police said the couple reportedly had an altercation over money on Saturday evening and Apparao, in a fit of rage, attacked his wife with a knife and fled. Appalaramulu who received grievous injuries on her forehead and neck died on the spot. The body has been sent for autopsy.
