VIJAYAWADA: The first Veteran Table Tennis Tournament organised in Vijayawada post state bifurcation received a good response.
Andhra Pradesh Table Tennis Association (APTTA) secretary SM Sultan inaugurated the event, in which players from all the 13 districts of the state participated in various categories. Andhra Pradesh Veteran Table Tennis Committee chairman Chinta Ravi Kumar and others expressed happiness over the response.
R Ananda Kumar of Visakhapatnam won the 70+ men category, PVN Surya Rao of Visakhapatnam was the winner of 65+ category and Visweswarulu of Visakhapatnam was winner of 60+ category, TS Ananda Rao and R Ananda Kumar won the doubles category (50+) while Sujatha and Sarojini of Hyderabad won the 50+ and 40+ category of women’s singles.
