Traffic Restrictions for Mary Matha Fete from Feb 9

VIJAYAWADA:  In a bid to facilitate free movement of devotees visiting Gunadala to participate in Gunadala Mary Matha fete from February 9 to 11, the city police have diverted traffic at various places. Expecting several thousands of people to visit the holy shrine and offer prayers, they have designated various places as parking spaces.

Traffic Diversions

➤ All the vehicles proceeding towards Eluru Road and Chuttugunta from Ramavarappadu Ring have been diverted at ESI hospital and will be allowed through post office - panchayat office - Gangireddu Dibba - Machavaram Police Station - Amma Kalyana Mandapam - Sunnapubhattila Centre - Siddhartha Junction - Pushpa Hotel Centre.

➤ Vehicles from Food Junction on BRTS Road proceeding towards Ramavarappadu will be diverted at ASR Bridge toward Chuttugunta and from there to Nice Bar Junction Route.

➤ Special Buses for the three-day fete will be allowed till temporary RTC bus terminal at Padavala Revu.

➤ For two wheelers from Chuttugunta direction, Padavala Revu will be the parking place.

➤ Two wheelers from Ramavarappadu and Loyola College have to be parked at open place near Gunadala Centre.

➤ Heavy vehicles from Eluru going towards Hyderabad have to take Gundugolanu - Devarapalli - Hyderabad route. Those coming from Hyderabad towards Eluru have to take Suryapet - Jangareddygudem - Eluru route.

➤ Special Buses from Ramavarappadu will be allowed till Gunadala centre.

➤ Vehicles proceeding towards Ramavarappadu from Chuttugunta centre will have to take the route of Nice Bar Junction - Madhu Chowk - Siddhartha Junction - Amma Kalyana Mandapam - Ramesh Hospital - Executive Club Junction.

➤ Heavy vehicles from Guntur will not be allowed in the city.

➤ Traffic diversions will come into effect from 6 p.m. on February 8 and will continue till 12 noon on February 12.
