VIJAYAWADA: The AP State government has signed an MoU with Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AIMED) for setting up a medical technology park in Visakhapatnam.
Foundation stone for the park would be laid on April 7. The MoU was signed in the presence of CM N Chandrababu Naidu and AIMED coordinator Rajiv Nath at the CMO here on Saturday.
The CM, after signing of the MoU, reiterated that he would convert AP into a medical device manufacturing hub. He said he would talk to the Centre and resolve issues relating to patents for making AP a medical device manufacturing hub.
The CM said he would provide all facilities to any medical device manufacturing company coming forward and setting up units in AP, an official press release said.
