Elaborate Arrangements for Sivarathri

KURNOOL: The temple management of famous Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and goddess Sri Bhrama ramba Devi is making elaborate arrangements for the upcoming Mahasivarathri Utsavams which will commence from February 29th and conclude on March 10th. EO K V Sagar Babu said that they were making all arrangements for a hassle free darshan

“The 11-day celebrations start with Ankurarpana, Ganapathi Puja on February 29 and concludes with the ‘Dhwajavarohana’ in which the ‘Dhwaja Patakam’ (flag) is removed from the ‘Dhwajasthambham’,” he said. The EO said that nearly 15 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the temple during the Brahmotsavams and Sivaratri Utsavam. “There would be no sparsa (touching) darsanam and all the arjitha sevas have been cancelled during the utsavam days,” EO said.
