Naval Staffer Dies in Road Mishap

VISAKHAPATNAM:  A Naval employee died in a road mishap near Malkapuram area of Visakhapatnam in the early hours of Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as S Mahesh (25), a native of Komarada village of Vizianagaram district, and a resident of Scindia area of the city.

According to Malkapuram traffic police, the incident occurred when Mahesh, who worked in the communications centre of the Indian Navy, was heading towards Gajuwaka on his bike to call on a relative in hospital.

The deceased, reportedly due to over speeding, lost control over the vehicle and rammed a divider hitting his head to an electric post.

Mahesh died on the spot due to severe blood loss. Postmortem has been done. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
