VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society CEO YS Prasad invited applications from the companies and individuals for setting up mega and mini food parks in Andhra Pradesh.
In a press release, he said the last date for the applications is March 17 and wanted potential investors to avail the opportunity. He said Andhra Pradesh is among the top five states in the country in the production of milk, fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat and shrimp. The state has got vast potential for value addition to those commodities and their export
Prasad said the Government is very much interested in making the state ultimate destination for food processing industry and had decided to sanction one mega food park and one integrated food park for every district. The mega food park will be set up in 50 acres and the State Government will extend `50 crore in the form of subsidies. Similarly, integrated food park will be set up in 30 acres with `20 crore.
