VISAKHAPATNAM: EFFORTS are being made to introduce two vistadome coaches with bigger windows to Araku, one of the most favoured tourist destinations. They will be likely to be introduced in September. “The trial version of the vistadome coaches from Vizag to Araku, manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory, Perambur in Chennai, will be likely in August,” said divisional railway manager Chandralekha Mukherjee.

As a part of the week-long Rail Hamsafar Saptaah, Sanchaar Diwas was observed on Wednesday. MP K Haribabu commissioned the  newly built arch and other amenities such as car and two-wheeler parking, and the newly constructed shelter on the Gananapuram side of the Visakhapatnam Railway Station.

“The trial run of double-decker train from Vizag to Vijayawada will be scheduled in July and the route from Vizianagaram to Singapur Road Junction has been electrified,” she told the media.
