VISAKHAPATNAM: THE Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has proposed to develop a plotted development layout project called ‘Fortune Hills’ in an extent of around 98 acres at Dakamarri in Bheemli limits as a joint venture project with M/s Vensar Constructions Company Limited by bidding process.
The auction will be conducted for high income group (HIG) and middle income group (MIG) from June 27 to 29 at AU convocation hall. LIG (low income group) plots are proposed for allotment by the drawl of lottery as per the allotment rules. The economically weaker section (EWS) plots have be handed over to the district collector for allotment to the weaker sections.
HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao told newsmen: “Out of the 1,166 vacant plots, 130 HIG and MIG plots are proposed to be auctioned with an upset price of `10,000 for MIG and `11,000 for HIG.”
Integrated Sports Complex
An Integrated Sports Complex, planned by the VUDA at Gandigundam area in the city, has got four consultants who submitted their plans.The sports complex will be in 80 acres with an estimated cost of around `200 to 480 crore.
“The Integrated Sports Complex will be like the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad, maybe, with better features with all the required facilities, parking, foot-bridge and hotels which can be termed as one roof for conducting all the sports events,” Ganta added. The foundation for VUDA’s modern auditorium a la Ravindrabharathi in Hyderabad will be laid on July 1. The construction works of the VUDA Children Theatre will be expedited and opened soon.
