AP to fill 10k vacancies, finance department clears decks

HYDERABAD: Much to the happiness of unemployed youth in the state, the TDP government is all set to release the first job notification for the state soon. Decks have been cleared for the recruitment of suitable candidates for the 10,000 posts which are vacant in various departments in the state.

The finance department on Friday gave clearance for issuance of notifications to fill all these posts in a phased manner.

Of these posts, around 5,991 (constable cadre) come under the police department whereas the remaining vacancies are in various other departments. State Police Recruitment Board will fill the 5,991 vacancies.

As many as 4,009 vacant posts will be filled by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) by way of holding competitive exams.

Of these, around 1,000 posts of panchayat secretary (Group-3 cadre), 94 posts of Group-1 cadre, 750 of Group-2 cadre, 422 in medical and health department, 200 in revenue department and 350 AEE posts in irrigation department will be filled soon.
