KURNOOL:Kurnool MLA S V Mohan Reddy and a large number of his followers formally joined the Telugu Desam Party in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who came here to participate in Neeru Pragati programmes, at APSP Battalion Camp in the city on Saturday.
Later, Mohan Reddy told reporters that he has shifted to TDP only to ensure the development of his constituency.
“TDP is like my parent party. My father S V Subba Reddy was a senior leader in the party. I am sure development of Kurnool constituency is possible only with the help of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu,” he said.
S V Mohan Reddy is the fifth YSRC MLA in Kurnool district to join the ruling party, the other four being Bhuma Nagi Reddy, his daughter Akhila Priya, M Mani Gandhi and Budda Rajasekar Reddy.
