GUNTUR: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and activists conducted a rally on the occasion of TDP candidate winning in the Nandyal by-election in Guntur on Monday. TDP leaders undertook a rally from Guntur West party office to NTR’s statue near NTR Bus Station in Guntur and party leaders garlanded the iconic leader’s statue. Andhra Pradesh Muslims Finance Corporation chairman Md Hidayat, former minister Md Johnny, Guntur West party in-charge M Giridhar and others participated in the rally. Meanwhile, party leaders and MLC Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad and MLA Yarapataneni Srinivasa Rao conducted press conference in the state and district party offices on Monday.
MLC Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad and MLA Y Srinivasa Rao said YSR Congress party president and opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy will shut down the party office in the coming days and merge the party in the Bay of Bengal. They alleged that Jagan campaigned for 14 days and made so many allegations against CM N Chandrababu Naidu but the people of Nandyal rejected his crocodile tears. Nandyal by-election is a reflection of developmental works taken up by TDP government.
