HYDERABAD: A division bench of the High Court on Thursday granted two weeks’ time to the management of AgriGold Company to come up with buyers for the two properties in Krishna district of AP who would pay higher amount than what was bid in the recent e-auction.

The bench of justices V Ramasubramanian and  S V Bhatt was dealing with a batch of petitions filed by Telangana AgriGold customers and agents welfare association and others seeking CBI probe into the Agri Gold scam and return of depositors’ monies.

On an earlier occasion, the bench had asked for written affidavits from the petitioners and the company on their views on the four properties that fetched monies in the e-auction.The petitioners filed an affidavit stating that their inputs showed that the monies fetched in the e-auction were satisfactory and urged the court to consider if any one else came up with a higher offer. The management submitted an affidavit,  objecting to the auction bids stating that the monies fetched were much short of the actual market values.
