Indian sailor thrashed for recording video of woman bathing in Andhra

While the incident happened on Thursday night, it came to light after the woman lodged a complaint with the local police on Friday afternoon.

VISHAKAPATNAM: A sailor of the Indian Navy was thrashed by a married woman and her family members after he was caught red-handed taking her video while she bathed at her house in the ex-servicemen colony in Malkapuram police station limits in Visakhapatnam.

While the incident happened on Thursday night, it came to light after the woman lodged a complaint with the local police on Friday afternoon. The accused, Sandeep Narwal (30), who lives in the Naval quarters, was arrested on Friday afternoon.

According to Malkapuram inspector, D Kesava Rao, the accused allegedly recorded the video of the 32-year-old woman while she was bathing three days ago. He did the same on Thursday night, but was caught red-handed by the woman’s kin.

He has been booked under sections 354(C), 509 of the IPC and 67(A) of the IT Act, the police said.
