Tribal Reform Index to monitor health in Agency areas: Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu

VISAKHAPATNAM: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu promised the tribal people that the government was taking all care to develop infrastructure facilities in the Agency areas. 

The chief minister who was scheduled to visit to his adopted village Pedalabudu in Visakhapatnam agency on Tuesday, cancelled his tour in the last minute owing to bad weather.

However, the Chief Minister interacted with the residents of the village through a video conference from the Interim Secretariat Complex at Velagapudi. He enquired about the allocation of LPG cylinders to the beneficiaries under the Deepam scheme.

He announced the implementation of “Tribal Reform Index” (TRI) to monitor the improvement of health, social conditions in the tribal area. “The government is aimed at making AP as the smokeless state, by providing LPG connections to all poor families,” he said. Referring to the recent successful expedition of Mount Everest by tribal students, he advised that all tribal youth must take inspiration from this. 

Boyi Seetaram, an MBA graduate expressed satisfaction over the Skill development training centres. He informed the CM that he got a job with Rs 8,000 per month salary. Naidu also inquired about farm practices and varieties of crops and etc. Pedalabudu sarpanch S Gulabi conveyed thanks on behalf of the villagers to the CM. Collector Pravin Kumar detailed about the welfare and development programmes taken up in Pedalabudu panchayat. 

The Chief Minister asked the district authorities to organise water festival, flower festival and Aadivasi Day celebrations in a grander manner. He ordered to provide Wi-Fi and fibrenet connections. 
The CM promised the villagers that very soon he would visit the village.

 “All pending pensions and all 114 proposed Check-dams, burial ground, Deepam connections will be solved within three months,” he promised and directed the authorities to provide drinking water taps to each house in the next 45 days, complete the TTD temple construction in six months.  He asked the officials to provide fibrenet facility to the agency area by the end of the year.

Later, on behalf of the CM, ministers N Chinna Rajappa, Ch Ayyanna Patrudu,  P Pulla Rao distributed bicycles, pulverisers, power tillers and Deepam gas connections to beneficiaries.
