Over 10,000 to appear for Civils Preliminary exam

As many as 10,243 candidates would appear for the Civil Services preliminary examination from the district, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 18.

VISAKHAPATNAM: As many as 10,243 candidates would appear for the Civil Services preliminary examination from the district, which is scheduled to be conducted on June 18. The district collector had reviewed arrangements for the examination in a meeting here on Tuesday and ordered officials to make elaborate arrangements with all facilities.

The examination will be conducted from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm and Visakhapatnam district would have 22 exam centres. He also asked officials to make sure that no electric gadgets are allowed inside the exam hall.

He said that there would be a strong room at the collectorate. While the collector will be the coordinator, revenue officer has been made an additional coordinator. He said that there will be seven zones in the district and seven officers would be appointed for coordinating. Police officials were also ordered to provide tight security at the centres, while EPDCL was asked to provide uninterrupted power supply.
