VIJAYAWADA: Condemning the alleged misbehaviour of leader of Opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy with Krishna district collector Babu A, the IAS Officers Association on Wednesday decided to lodge a complaint with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the issue.

The Association, which met in the Interim Government Complex under the chairmanship of senior IAS officer AK Parida took exception to YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s remarks at the collector at Nandigama Government Hospital on Tuesday.

Jagan, while visiting the persons injured in bus mishap at Nandigama Government Hospital, had a heated argument with district collector and the hospital staff including doctors. He had also accused them of hushing up the evidences.

“The way he (Jaganmohan Reddy) acted with the district collector was not proper. Both officers and people’s representatives should mutually respect one another. Officials are important part of democratic setup and belittling them is not good for the system. It sends wrong signals to people,” Parida said and added they have decided to meet the Chief Minister and requested him to take action against Jaganmohan Reddy.

The meeting was attended by senior IAS officers including JC Sharma, Lingaraju Panigrahi, Manmohan Singh, LV Subramanyam, Solomon Arokyaraj, Ajay Jain, Krishna district collector Babu A, joint collector Gandam Chandrudu.
