ELURU: A 14-year-old was molested and slashed with a blade near Old Bus Stand here on Saturday night.
The girl, who lives near Gun Bazaar flyover, was being harassed by Vijay, one of the accused, over the last few days in the name of love.
He threatened to disfigure the Class 9 student by throwing acid at her face if she spurned his advances. Following the threat, Vijay and two of his friends attacked her after forcibly taking her to an isolated area when she was out shopping around 11.00 pm.
Vijay molested her and his friends injured her with a blade on the neck. The trio fled when the girl began screaming. The girl went to her grandmother’s house and narrated what happened. A police complaint has been filed and cops are on the look out for the absconding trio.
