VIJAYAWADA: After the withdrawal of GO 64 by the State government, a group of agriculture students staged a protest at Durga Ghat on Friday demanding its implementation and seeking cancellation of GO 16. The Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Student Association demanded the State government to form an Agricultural Council and implement GO 64. e government failed to revive GO 64. He said that students who studied BSc Agriculture in other State colleges, which were recognised by the University Grants Commission, were left in the dark as these candidates are not eligibile to get jobs in the State. “Pawan Kalyan had unilaterally supported GO 16 and asked for cancellation of GO 64. In fact, a large number of agricultural students will be benefitted from GO 64 rather than GO 16, which is limited only to the State boundaries,” said A Varaprasad of APASA. G Mallikarjun, general secretary of APASA , said, “By September 19, the State government has to form an Agricultural Council or else we will conduct a protest at AP secretariat on September 19.
