New book on MRI images of brain, written by senior professor MY Bhanu Murthy

GUNTUR: Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) chairman Vasireddy Vidya Sagar congratulated senior professor MY Bhanu Murthy of the ECE Department for his research book ‘An Automated MRI Segmentation for Brains with Tumours and MS Lesions’ being published by Lambert Academic Publishing Company, Germany. 

Murthy said the book would help researchers working in the field of biomedical image processing understand and formulate complex classification and segmentation tasks of the brain’s MR images. 

He explained that improved segmentation accuracies of MR images would help radiologists precisely determine the location of brain tumours and lesions in patients suffering from multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s and dementia.
