VIJAYAWADA: Exuding confidence that the TDP and BJP combo will win nearly 40 divisions in the Kakinada Municipal Corporation election, Civil supplies minister P Pulla Rao predicted that the opposition YSRC will remain in single digit in the elections.YSRC, which lost the Nandyal seat to TDP with a huge margin recently, is now going to face a humiliating defeat in the Kakinada Municipal elections, he said.
Speaking to newsmen at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi on Wednesday, Pulla Rao predicted that the YSRC leaders were well aware about their party’s defeat in Kakinada and are searching for causes.
Coming down heavily on YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the minister said the people of the state came to a decision to keep Reddy at bay due to his objectionable remarks. At least now, Reddy should know that he is residing in a democratic country and should give up his dictatorial qualities, the Minister suggested.
